The village today

The village today

Today the parish, one of the smallest in Warwickshire, comprises a settlement along Rising Lane with clusters of outlying dwellings and individual properties in a rural environment. There are no real facilities or amenities. There are no shops, schools, village hall or post office. There is no mains gas supply. Other than some agricultural activity, there are few businesses within the Parish and little in the way of employment opportunities. ‘The Orange Tree’, a popular“Gastro Pub” lies within the parish’s boundary. Residents of Baddesley Clinton must travel to source all important amenities.

Public transport serving the village is poor – Lapworth being the nearest railway station 1.5 miles away. A basic bus service runs through the village infrequently and operates a return journey to Leamington and Solihull on certain days of the week.

The Parish Council comprises 5 councillors, assisted by District and County Councillors in Parish matters and meet quarterly. The Parish has no fixed assets other than the parish noticeboard and the bench on the village green.
